Splash Junction Set To Open This Weekend
One of Rotary Playland's most popular attractions is set to open this weekend. Splash Junction, the parks 3500 square foot splash area will be opening for public use this weekend now that the weather is getting warmer. Splash Junction consists of splash features that spray from above and from below the ground. Children and families are invited to bring out their swim suits and enjoy the popular attraction. Splash Junction was opened in the summer of 2008 and was funded by two large grants from East Fresno Rotary Club and Fig Garden Rotary Club. The attraction was a $215,000 improvement to Rotary Playland. The system recycles water that is used and has a 4,000 gallon container underground.
"Splash Junction was an addition to Playland that both created a great attraction for our guests as well as was in alignment with our desire to provide affordable entertainment for children and families." said President/CEO Barry Falke. Splash Junction is a free attraction at Playland and is open durning normal park hours and when the weather is above 75 degrees.
Rotary Storyland & Playland are open each weekend from 10:30am-5:30pm. Both parks will also be open for Spring Break from Tuesday April 19th-Sunday April 24th from 10:30am-5:30pm each day.
