Final Preparations For Opening Underway

With just one week until the opening of the 2011 season at Rotary Playland several projects are underway which park official hope will better the guest experience.  According to Danny Cobb, Director of Operations, "There has been a tremendous amount of labor by volunteers and staff to spruce up the parks and there are a few exciting new features on the way as well."  The most notable new improvement will be Racer's Arcade, a new addition to Playland with several video games and a small novelty shop.  The arcade, which is still unsure construction hopes to add just one more element that guests can enjoy at the parks.

Further, there has been a lot of painting projects happening in Playland throughout the off season.  "Guests will discover the moment they step foot into Playland in 2011 that there has been a lot of work put into paint on the attractions and amenities." said President & CEO Barry Falke.

Opening Day for Playland is Saturday February 5th.  Beginning the 5th, both Rotary Storyland & Playland will be open each weekend and holiday from 10:30am-5:30pm
