2020 VISION Committee Selected & Ready For First Meeting
The 2020 VISION Committee, announced earlier this month, has been selected and will have its first meeting this Thursday September 30th. The committee is charged with developing a capital improvement plan for both parks, a funding structure, a new operational plan as well as a theming strategy. The committee hopes to accomplish all of this in 9-12 months.
Assisting the committee as a consultant throughout the process will be Richard Deaver; Richard brings over 30 years of design and construction background to the committee. The committee makeup consists of about 75% community members and 25% Storyland & Playland board directors. "We have worked to bring together a diverse group of advocates for both our community and of Rotary Storyland & Playland. The committee includes city officials, creatives, users of the parks, and business-minded individuals." said President/CEO Barry Falke
