Rotary Storyland & Playland relies on an incredible team of customer service professionals to ensure our guests have a positive experience. Many of our team members are seasonal—the following team leaders work year-round.
Barry Falke, President & CEO
A Fresno native, Barry is passionate about the the unique challenges that face our area and about impacting social issues like poverty, economic development. He has been the president/CEO of Rotary Storyland & Playland since February of 2006, and has worked to create a culture of teamwork and a renewed commitment to guest service. Barry has a bachelor's degree from CSU Fresno in communication and a master's degree in theology from Fresno Pacific University. He is also a graduate of the Excellence in Business track of the Disney Institute in Orlando, Florida. Barry is actively involved in the Fresno community. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Fresno/Clovis Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as the board of directors for the Leadership Fresno Alumni Association. He works very closely with Rotary and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Fresno and the Assistant Governor of Information & Communications for Rotary District 5230. He is passionate about, and takes great pride in his family and has two children.
Danny Cobb, Director of Operations
A sixth generation Fresnan, this is Danny’s second stint as Director of Operations. He first held this role from January 2007 until July 2008 while completing his Bachelor of Art’s degree at CSU Fresno. From August 2008 until December 2010, Danny worked as a Guest Service Manager at the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. Danny is passionate about business excellence and superior guest service.
Amber Sawyer, Director of Administration & Events
A Bakersfield native, Amber is currently attending California State University, Fresno. She is majoring in Agricultural Education with hopes of someday becoming an agriculture educator in the Central Valley. She has been with Storyland & Playland since 2009 and has worked in multiple capacities. Her favorite ride at Playland is the Big Rocko. In her free time, Amber enjoys debating, shopping, and reading.
Dave Kyle, Director of Development
Dave joined the Rotary Storyland & Playland team in April, 2011. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in non-profit management throughout the Fresno community. Living in Fresno since 1980, Dave has a wealth of contacts in the Central Valley business community and Rotary clubs. He was a proud member of East Fresno Rotary for many years. His passion for childhood education and close family relationships have guided his thinking towards improving the quality of life in our San Joaquin Valley community. Dave received his undergraduate and master's degrees from Colorado State University through the department of parks and recreation resources. Dave is actively involved in the Fresno community and looks forward to matching the exciting future of Rotary Storyland and Playland with other community leaders who want to make a positive change in our local families abiliy to bond and form lasting memories through the experiences found in the parks. Dave and his wife Lynn have been married for 30 years and their two sons represent the fourth generation of Fresno-born family living in the area.
